join us for our last test screening/feedback
program for CWNY members of the spring 2008 season
: Show and Grow. (Show and Grows will recommence
in October, so keep submitting your
films!)
This
Thursday, June 26th, you will see two short
films by CWNY members Natalie
Kim and Sally
O'Grady.
The Program
Will begin at 6:30 with refreshments and
socializing.
At 7 pm we
will screen and discuss Natalie
Kim's short mockumentary,
Sora and Charu go to the Felix
Awards, about two best friends who
are in competition for the "Best Actress Award"
for film schools in
NYC.
ABOUT
THE FILMMAKER:
Natalie Kim is an
actress and filmmaker. She has appeared on Law
and Order and MTV as well as in
numerous TV ads, industrials, and theatre roles.
She is currently filming the role of Rose in the
feature film, The Hanji Box, starring Amy
Irving and Baek Yoon Shik.

8 PM we will screen and discuss
Sally O'Grady's short film
User.
User
is an 8 minute, experimental documentary about a
street based prostitute and an unlikely moment of
warmth she experiences.

ABOUT
THE FILMMAKER:
Sally O'Grady has
completed 2 short films that have screened at
festivals. The first was a 16mm drama and the
second a short documentary. The documentary,
The Art of Fighting won
the National Student Film and Video competition,
2001 in her native Australia. She is
presently working as a freelance
Associate Producer on history based projects, and
developing a feature length documentary about
Queens (the
neighborhood).

GROW:
Show and Grows are test
screenings where audiences fill out a
questionnaire and then participate in a
conversation about the film.
If you
are a filmmaker this is really an invaluable
experience -- also great for producers,
writers...
